After some members of Congress admitted that they were part of the
most corrupt Congress in history, they announced a plan to reform themselves. The plan then evolved as follows:
Early in 2006 members of Congress publicly signed a document agreeing to stop accepting bribes from lobbyists.
Later that year members of Congress decided to accept the bribes but to disclose that they were accepting them.
After that, they decided to stop accepting trips and other bribes from lobbyists until after the November 2006 elections.
Many state and local governments are as bad.
The solution is to replace as many elected officials as possible until Congress as a whole gets the message that voters
are their special interest.
We can stop the corruption by voting them all out! Do you want to save your Representative or Senator? Ask yourself what he or she has done openly to disclose and fight the growing corruption in Washington.
